How to Order Custom Cartons: A First-Timer’s Checklist
Ordering custom packaging for the first time feels opaque. It isn’t — you just need a handful of details ready. Here’s the checklist we walk new customers through.
1. Product dimensions (or the product itself)
The box is built around what goes inside. Give us the product’s length, width, and height — or ship us a sample and we’ll measure it. Getting this right controls fit, protection, and shipping cost.
2. Carton style
Mailer, shipping box, folding carton, food carton, rigid box? If you’re unsure, describe how it’s used and shipped and we’ll recommend a style. (Our products page breaks down each one.)
3. Artwork
Vector files (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF) are ideal. No print-ready art? Send a logo and brand colors — our designers build the dieline artwork for free.
4. Stock and finish
Kraft or white? Any premium finish — foil, soft-touch, spot UV? Not sure? We’ll mock up options.
5. Quantity and deadline
Our minimum is 100 units. Tell us your target quantity (a range is fine) and any hard in-hand date so we can confirm timing and flag rush options.
| Have ready | Dimensions · style · artwork · stock/finish · quantity · deadline |
|---|---|
| We handle | Dieline · artwork cleanup · mockup · pricing |
Have your dimensions, artwork, rough quantity, and deadline ready — and let us handle the dieline, mockup, and pricing. First runs go smoothly when the product spec is clear.
